If you have not seen the 150th Anniversary brochure, check the link below for this initial overview of plans. The back of the brochure contains church trivia. Hope you all are enjoying finding these answers.  The first questions is “who are the 11 charter members that founded the church in 1869 and where are their names?” Their names are in a stained-glass window in the sanctuary northarx.

There are many people working on activities related to the 150th Anniversary Celebration. The Presbyterian Women are working on the Anniversary edition of the Lenten Devotionals. Check the second link below for a sample of a devotion that was included in the 1986 Lenten Devotionals. The Anniversary edition will follow this same format. We invite anyone who is interested to write a devotional. These need to be turned in to the Church Office by the end of January. Contact Claire Oldam at writeclaire@aol.com  if you want additional information.

The Archives Committee has been working to review Session minutes and to gather items to be included in the updated history book and timeline. We are looking for members interested in working on the updated history book. This project will be gathering information from 1994 – 2018 including changes in church property, activities of local and global mission work, initiatives of children and youth ministries and many other aspects of our church life. If you are interested in this aspect of honoring our past, please volunteer to be involved in these projects.

We ask for your prayers for the planning teams as the celebration and praise activities to honor our past and build our future evolve.
